I promise it’s not as spicy as it looks.

Prep Time: 5ish min

Cook Time: 10ish min

Yield: 4ish servings

Ingredients

3 tbsp butter
4 lg cloves garlic
4 tbsp chili crisp I use this brand from my local Asian store.
1 tbsp soy sauce
1/2 tbsp honey
1/2 tbsp rice vinegar
4 servings of your favorite wide, chewy noodle. Homemade or store bought is fine. I recommend the flat noodle recipe from Omnivore’s Cookbook or knife cut noodles like these.

Instructions

  1. Prepare the noodles according to the package, or the homemade instructions.

  2. Melt the butter in a large pan over medium heat. Mince the garlic while the butter is melting, then add it to the pan. Cook until garlic just begins to brown.

  3. Add the chili crisp, soy sauce, honey, and rice vinegar. Stir and cook for a 2-3 minutes.

  4. Add the cooked, drained noodles directly into the sauce. Stir gently until each noodle is coated in sauce.

  5. Serve immediately. Garnish with sesame seeds or green onions if you feel like it. Have plenty of napkins on hand, because slurping these noodles will probably stain your clothes.
