Whipped Ricotta, Parmesan, and Black Pepper Toast

two slices of whipped ricotta toast on a cutting board on top of a linen napkin

Creamy, cheesy, and peppery, this toast has got it all.

Prep Time: 5ish min

Cook Time: 5ish min

Yield: 4-6ish servings (depends on how thick you spread the cheese mixture)

Ingredients
1 cup whole milk ricotta cheese
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese + extra 1/4 cup for topping
1 tbsp fresh cracked pepper + extra 1 tsp for topping
1/2 tsp garlic powder
2 tbsp olive oil
salt to taste
4-6 slices of sourdough bread

Instructions

  1. Toast the bread! You can do this in a toaster, in the oven, or pan-fry it on the stove.

  2. Make the cheese mixture! Add the ricotta, parmesan, 1 tbsp of olive oil, pepper, and garlic powder to a food processor or blender. Blend for 2 minutes until it’s smooth and creamy. If you don’t have a food processor of blender, you can totally do this by hand with a whisk!

  3. Assemble! Spread a layer of the cheese mixture on a slice of toast (or if you’re feeling fancy, put the cheese mixture in a piping bag and pipe it on). Drizzle with a little bit of the remaining olive oil. Top with a bit of extra parmesan cheese, fresh cracked pepper, and salt (if desired). Repeat with remaining slices of toast.

  4. Eat & enjoy & come back for seconds.
