Hot Brown Buttered Tortellini

Buttered noodles but make it fancy.

Prep Time: 0 min

Cook Time: 10ish min

Yield: 6ish servings

Ingredients

12oz of mini tortellini (I used this dried one from Barilla, but use whatever you want!)

1/2 cup of unsalted butter, cut into 8 tablespoons

Fresh grated parmesan cheese to taste (I recommend a lot, but you do you)

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook your pasta according to the package instructions.

  2. Make the brown butter! Heat the butter in small pan over medium heat. Stir frequently. The butter will melt, foam up a little bit, and start to smell nutty. Keep stirring. Once the foam begins to dissolve, you’ll notice brown specks on the bottom of the pan. Immediately remove from the heat.

  3. Add the cooked tortellini to the pan with the butter. Toss until each tortellini is covered in butter. Add a pinch of salt and a generous amount of fresh cracked black pepper. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.

  4. Serve! Portion into bowls and top with parmesan. Don’t be afraid to get heavy handed with the cheese.
