hotwheels

It’s just spicy arrabbiata sauce. Don’t skip out on the burrata. Vroom vroom, baby.

Prep Time: 5ish min

Cook Time: 25ish min

Yield: 4-6 servings

Ingredients

1/2 small onion, diced finely
3 cloves of garlic, minced
2 tbsp butter
28oz can of crushed tomatoes
2 tsp red chili flakes
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
2 tbsp olive oil
handful of basil, chopped
1lb wheel shaped pasta
1/2 ball of burrata per person

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package, making sure to reserve at least 1 cup of pasta water.

  2. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the chili flake and toast for 1-2 minutes.

  3. Add the onion and garlic and sauté until soft, about 3-5 minutes.

  4. Add the crushed tomatoes, salt, and pepper. Stir and reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for about 15 minutes.

  5. Uncover and add basil and butter. Stir until butter has melted completely.

  6. Add the cooked pasta to the sauce. If the sauce is too thick to coat the all the pasta, add a little bit of pasta water.

  7. That’s it! Serve it with 1/2 ball of burrata on top per person. Or a whole ball of burrata. Either way it will be delicious. Do what feels right.
